Last phase of deconfinement is around the corner!

The state of emergency in Portugal was lifted earlier this week to the relief of many!

Even better news is that the last phase of deconfinement starts on the 3rd May.

What does this mean?

Restaurants and cafés

Restaurants, cafés, patisseries and other similar establishments no longer operate with time limits. In addition, it is now possible to have groups of six people per table, and on the outdoor terraces that number rises to ten.

Sport activity

All sports can return to normal from the 3rd May.

Gym - groups

You can now exercise in groups. Outdoor physical activity has no restrictions.

External events

Large outdoor events will be able to go ahead. However, reduced capacity for indoor events is still applicable.

Weddings and baptisms - 50%

Capacity for private events will now increase to 50% capacity.

Keep in mind that the above could still be subject to changes by the local Council of Ministers and, in some municipalities, delayed BUT this is the first time in a very long time that life returns almost to pre-pandemic times!

So be careful, stay safe and enjoy the new phase from the 3rd May!
